What keeps the VersaLiner in place inside the vehicle?
The VersaLiner does not require Velcro attachments to stay in place like most fabric liners. It is self-supporting and has a semi-rigid structure that resembles a three-sided box, making it ideal boot liner for dog owners. Once assembled, it fits snugly in the car boot.
Is the VersaLiner waterproof?
Yes, the material used for our boot liners is waterproof. But it's important to keep in mind that the unit is not fully watertight due to its seams and folds.
What is the difference between the standard Bumper Guard and the Deluxe one?
The Deluxe Bumper Guard is designed with padding, while the Standard Bumper Guard does not have this feature. The Deluxe Bumper Guard is also designed with foam inserts to provide a thicker guard, and it folds back on itself for storage. In contrast, the Standard Bumper Guard rolls up when not in use. The price difference between the two products is £10.
Can the VersaLiner be cleaned with a hose?
Yes, it is possible to clean the VersaLiner with a hose due to its waterproof plastic material.
Are there alternative color options available for your products?
No, our products are only available in black, except for the Dog Guard, which comes in clear.
Why is it that your product offerings do not include options for my specific vehicle?
Our products are specifically designed for different vehicle models and require measurements from each vehicle's boot area to ensure a proper fit. If products are not available for your vehicle, it could be due to several reasons. For instance, the vehicle is newly introduced or rare, making it difficult for us to obtain the necessary measurements. Additionally, the vehicle may be too large for our products, or we may have determined that certain products are not suitable or adequate for that particular vehicle model.

My vehicle has adjustable rear seats. Will the Versaliner still fit?
The section of the VersaLiner that rests against the rear seat backs is set at a fixed angle. In vehicles that have adjustable rear seats, it may be necessary to adjust the angle of the seats to align with the angle of the liner for optimal fit. The liner's angle is typically set at a position halfway between the most upright and most reclined seat angles offered by the vehicle. This may not be the case for every vehicle and some may be more vertical or reclined so if you would like more information on this, just ask! We would recommend doing so prior to ordering.
Please note that if the rear seats in your vehicle can slide forward or backward on tracks, affecting the length of the boot, the liner will be designed to fit the boot in its farthest backward position, resulting in a shorter boot but more leg room for rear passengers.
Do you make 'made to measure' boot liners?
Yes, we offer made-to-measure car boot liners. All of our Boot Buddy liners are created based on individual orders and can be customised if requested. We have a selection of liner templates that have been found to work well, but we also have the capability to create a liner for specific measurements, such as an increased side or back height for added protection. This customisation can accommodate a range of uses, including transporting dogs, fishing or golf equipment, carrying out DIY projects, or preserving the cleanliness of a brand-new vehicle.
I have dogs. Are your products suitable?
Many of our customers are dog owners, so we have several options that are specifically designed for dogs. Each Boot Buddy is made from very smooth polypropylene, which is very easy to wipe clean in your boot. We have a high quality Anti-slip Mat that is very pet friendly and guarantees a safe, comfortable ride. It also acts as a thermal cushion so your dog can enjoy added insulation during the winter months! Take it out and shake those dog hairs off quickly, or rinse with water. If you are concerned about pet safety, i.e. when your dog jumps in or out of your car, then the fitted Anti-slip Matting will prevent any danger of slipping.
Do you do some kind of bumper protection?
Yes, we do. We know how easy it is to scuff up or scratch your rear bumper, so the option of a separate bumper guard is a must. We actually have two types, one made of a PVC plastic with a polypropylene cloth core, that can roll back into your boot when not being used, or our Deluxe Bumper Guard that is a foam padded, cloth lined folding version that folds in and out of your boot for convenience. Thanks to the materials we use, there is excellent cushioning, and still a high friction surface to give your faithful friend a helping hand getting in and out! It also gives older dogs more confidence when jumping in and out of the car.
Where do the Bumper Guards attach?
The Deluxe Bumper Guard can attach to most boot carpet but it is best attached to the base of the VersaLiner at the tailgate edge. If you have ordered one of our mats, this will be slightly shorter to accommodate this.
Does the premium trim cover all edges?
This varies with each model and the products ordered. For some models, the premium trim will be on all edges. For other models, some of the VersaLiner may need to be tucked under the vehicle plastic which means the trim would cause issues. If the VersaLiner has wings on the sides or back, the trim may not be applied for these sections. Also, if a Carbo Guard is ordered, the premium trim may not be applied on the back panel as this can inhibit the Carbo guard fitting.
You already have my model as part of your range. Can i still come for a measure and fit service?
Yes. This is called a 'Custom Fitting Service'. For models that we already have as part of our range, we offer a custom fitting service for a charge of £25 (excluding product price). The team will chat to you about your requirements and then make and fit the products while you wait.
Ordering, Delivery & Returns
What exactly will I receive if I only order the boot liner?
The boot liner (VersaLiner) consists of the sides, the base and the back panel. If you would like any of the other products (e.g Bumper Guard, Anti-Slip Matting etc.) these will need to be added to your order.
I need my order asap - can you get it to me quickly?
Yes, express delivery is available for many of our products. This feature is visible during checkout under the delivery options section if the items in your shopping cart are eligible. You can select the delivery type after choosing your delivery country. Typically, you can expect to receive your order within three business days with this option.
What should I do if something doesn't fit?
Occasionally, mistakes or miscommunications may result in improper fit despite our diligent efforts. If you experience any issues with the fit of an item you received from us, please reach out to us promptly. If the error is on our part, we are willing to provide a refund, but would prefer to understand and rectify what went wrong. If you provided incorrect information, such as specifying the wrong car model, we can arrange for the return and shipment of the correct size. Please note, however, that an additional shipping fee may apply to cover our expenses.
How to tell if a website is secure for making an online order?
Good question! Check the URL of the website and see if it says “HTTPS” at the start of the address (instead of “HTTP”). This means the website is secure with an SSL certificate. The SSL certificate is used to secure all data that is passed from the browser to the website's server. There should be a small padlock in the address bar. If this is missing or crossed out, you may be using an outdated version of the wesbite. You can try a different browser if so or the page may need refreshing. If you are having any difficutly placing an order, just get in touch. Our website is completely secure and our team would be more than happy to help you to make an order safely.
Is there a charge for the Measure and Fit service?
If you have a car that we don't currently make our products for, then there is no charge for the measure + fit service. Just select and pay for the products you want. If you require an adjustment to one of our standard liners or require a bespoke liner, there is a small charge starting from £19.95. Please call to make an appointment and to discuss your requirements.
How long does the Measure and Fit appointment take?
Typically, the Measure and Fit appointment takes no longer than an hour. However, it may take longer if modifications are needed or if the vehicle is not one that we have worked on before. The company provides a waiting room with refreshments while the products are being prepared.
Will I get notified when my order has been despatched?
If your order was placed online you will recieve an automated email when your order has been sent. If you place an order over the phone you will need to request notification.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Delivery time may vary depending on the product, time of year, and availability. Check the latest delivery times on the company's news page before ordering, or call to confirm delivery by a specific date if needed.
Are there any discounts available?
We occasionally offer discounts, but these are primarily featured via our social media profiles, like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc. You can however get some excellent deals by sending us your feedback in the form of comments, pictures or videos. All unloadable via our feedback upload page.
Help with my vehicle
I'm not sure what model of vehicle I have. Can you help?
Yes, we can try to assist you. If you provide the vehicle's registration number, we can usually determine the model. If you are unsure if your vehicle has a specific accessory in the boot, such as an adjustable floor, you can also email us a photo of the boot area and we will advise on which of our products will fit.
I have a dog guard fitted. Will a VersaLiner fit with this?
In most cases a dog guard will not interfere with the fitting of our Boot Buddy VersaLiner but in some cases modifications will need to be made to the liner, either by ourselves or when you receive your VersaLiner. In very few cases our liner is not compatible with certain dog guards but we do offer a measure and fit service to customise a liner to fit with a dog guard.
If you do have a dog guard fitted please send us a photo of the dog guard or call/email us with the make and preferably the product code of the guard and we can check this for you.
Will it fit the electric or hybrid model of my car?
Unless stated in the description, we cannot guarantee that the products made for the standard model will fit an electric or hybrid version. We have often found that the boot space does vary in these models, so if it is not stated in the description it is unlikely to fit the electric or hybrid model. If you are not sure on your car selection please contact us before placing an order.
My vehicle has a panoramic roof. Will your Carbo Guard still fit?
In most cases we have found that vehicles with a panoramic (glass) roof option fitted have a slightly different roof shape. For many models we now have two different guards available for with or without a panoramic sunroof. If there are no specific options or notes on your vehicle model please get in touch before placing an order to advise if there if you are any potential fitting issues that we are aware of.
What is an adjustable floor?
In some models, the boot floor can adjust up and down to different levels. If the car does have the adjustable floor option, we need to know which level option you intend to have the car in. We make the VersaLiner differently depending on which option you choose. The VersaLiner may only be compatible with one level option or it may be compatible with all of the options for that vehicle. If you are unsure as to which option you have, just send us a photo and we can confirm this for you!
Do I need a Rubber Mat if I have the Boot Bedding?
The Boot Bedding is bound by a high friction rubber underside to ensure it grips to the wipe clean surface of your VersaLiner. Therefore, it can be purchased without a rubber mat option if preferred. Many of our customers purchase a rubber option too so that when the Boot Bedding is being washed there is still a non slip surface on the VersaLiner floor.
Is it possible to use both Bumper Guard and Tailgate Guard at the same time?
Yes! These items function differently and and can therefore be used together. The Tailgate Guard is unclipped and the Bumper Guard is then pulled out. Once done, the Bumper Guard simply rolls/folds back up and the Tailgate Guard can be reattached.
Why don't you offer products for my vehicle?
All of our products are vehicle-specific. As such, we need to take a number of measurements from each vehicle's boot area in order for us to make products that fit well. If products for your vehicle are not available then it is likely that we have simply not had the opportunity to measure the vehicle (this is usually the case with new or rare vehicles). Other reasons why we may not offer products may be that the vehicle is too large for our products to fit, or that we have concluded that making certain products for a particular vehicle would not be a good fit or offer sufficient protection.

My vehicle does not have rear headrests, or I have removed them. Can I still use your Carbo Guard?
Unfortunately no, you cannot. The CARBO GUARD relies on a vehicle's rear headrest poles for attachment, so they are necessary for proper use of the product.
My vehicle has adjustable rear seats. Will the Versaliner still fit?
The part of our VersaLiner that rests against the rear seat backs is made at a fixed angle. In vehicles that have adjustable rear seats this means that the angle of the seats may need to be altered to match the angle of the liner in order to achieve the best fit. The angle of our liner is usually made at the most reclined seat angles available in the vehicle.
If the seats in your vehicle also slide forward and backward on rails, thus allowing you to make the boot length longer or shorter, please note that our liner will be made to fit the boot when the seats are in their furthest back position (i.e. creating a shorter boot but more leg room for rear passengers). Some cars may have two options to have the seats further forward. please contact us or book a visit to see us if you require a custom made liner for your car.
Will I still be able to use my car's boot's parcel shelf/load cover with the Versaliner or the Carbo Guard?
Our Boot Buddy VersaLiner (boot liner) is designed to fit around the standard parcel shelf/load cover that comes with each vehicle. However, using the Carbo Guard ( dog guard) may prevent you from using the parcel shelf/load cover in some vehicles. If this is a concern, please contact us and we will let you know if it will affect your specific vehicle.
Do the VersaLiner and Load Liner conform to the shape of wheel arches or other features in the boot?
Our VersaLiner and Load Liner are designed with straight sides for ease of fitting and compatibility with accessories like the Tailgate Guard and ProMax Kit. This means they do not conform to the shape of wheel arches or other contours in the boot. In most cases, this is not an issue since many car boots have straight sides. Some VersaLiners are shaped to expand at the tailgate opening to maximize space. If you would like to know if your car will be affected by this, please contact us. How do I protect the whole loading area when my rear seats are folded flat?
In most hatchbacks and estates you can drop your rear passenger seats to extend your boot space, usually for larger loads like DIY and skip trips. We have a simple solution to extend your protection from your boot space to include the extra space you have over your rear seats.
It's called the ProMax Kit and it is available to the vast majority of customers. Ideal for taking huge loads to the skip or carrying several big dogs! This is in effect a second VersaLiner nested inside the normal VersaLIner except it has no back panel. When the seats are laid flat, simply push both VersaLiner and ProMax over the rear seats, and pull the top section (ProMax Kit) back into your boot. This extends the liner throughout your car.
N.B. Alternatively, you can drop your back seats forward, and lower the back panel of your VersaLiner to extend protection for your larger loads at no extra cost.
Please note: If your boot is smaller than the extended area when your seats are down, there will be insufficient space to store the ProMax Kit in the boot with the VersaLiner, and will need to be kept elsewhere when not needed. Can you make a Liner for my 7-seater with the rear seats folded?
Yes, we can make a liner for all vehicles, including 7-seater models, but the two rear seats must be in a folded position for the VersaLiner to fit.
How do you get your sizes?
We have built a database of over 450 cars over the years, and we have obtained those through maintaining a great relationship with car dealerships that grant us access to new models. We also get boot dimensions from customers that travel to us to take full advantage of our measure and fit service.
