Please contact us by phone or email if you have any questions about our products. For local customers who would like to collect, you may do so by ordering and making payment over the phone. We are currently still open and working through our existing orders. If you would like an update on an order you have with us please contact us on email@example.com or call us on 01299 822230.
Many members of our staff are working from home and some are self isolating, so we are operating with a small number of staff as we try to fulfill our orders. Our main courier Parcel Force are still delivering but there is no guarantee of delivery times in place at the moment. For more information- please see the delivery information update below. All measure and fit appointments and collections from our place of business are cancelled until further notice. Orders can still be placed online through our website or over the phone. In these uncertain times we are following the latest government direction and we will try to keep all our customers updated. Stay safe!
Coronavirus Parcel Delivery Information
18 March 2020 / Posted in: Delivery Times
We just wanted to share some information from our main courier Parcel Force about receiving parcels and our delivery service. If you have any questions please give us a call on 01299 822230 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Receiving parcels The Public Health England (PHE) has advised that people receiving parcels are not at risk of contracting the coronavirus (COVID-19). From experience with other viruses, we know that these types of viruses don’t survive long on objects, such as letters or parcels. This complements the highly publicised guidance from PHE for people to wash their hands more often than usual using soap and hot water.
Changes to our delivery procedure
In order to protect both our people and customers as much as possible, delivery drivers will not be handing over hand-held devices to customers to capture electronic signatures. Drivers will instead log the first and last name of the person accepting the item and we will record the geolocation of the delivery. This will apply to all deliveries that normally require a signature.
If recipients are unable to come to the door or are self-isolating, drivers will post a customer contact card in the normal way, advising of other ways the recipient can arrange to get their item. For example, by getting a friend or family member (who is not resident with someone who is self-isolating) to collect the parcel from their local Parcelforce depot or Post Office branch, as specified on the card. They will need to bring along the card we left and a form of ID in the name of the person the item is addressed to. Examples of suitable ID are specified on the card.
Suspension of UK service guarentee
Due to the current situation, there are significant impacts on our ability to maintain all our usual levels of delivery and there may be disruptions to some services under current conditions.
As a result, we will be suspending guarenteed services from 18 March 2020 but will seek to ensure ‘all reasonable endeavours’ to maintain service levels where we can.
